New Actinic Keratosis Clinical Study - Now Enrolling
If you’re like most older adults, you’ve gotten a lot of sun exposure over the years. Over time, that sun exposure can lead to rough, scaly patches of skin called actinic keratosis. These pre-cancerous sun spots (AKs) are commonly found on the scalp, face, arms, and other sun-exposed areas.
If you have AK’s on your face, exposed scalp, or arms/hands, you may qualify for a new clinical research study. The study is evaluating an investigational, two-step in-office procedure that involves a topical solution applied to the AKs, which is then activated by a blue light photodynamic therapy (PDT) device. The goal of the study is to develop an AK treatment that requires less time for both the solution to be applied as well as PDT exposure time, when compared to currently approved treatments.
If you qualify and choose to join the study, you will receive study-related care at no cost, and will be compensated for your time to attend required study visits.
Why Participate?

- Regular evaluations of your AKs from a local physician specialist
- All study-related care and study treatments at no cost
